1. Why did you make this in the first place?
I felt that people who read lots and lots of web comics could use a method to keep things organized. That and I was bored one day :) I got tired of having a bookmark folder for comics that had lots of comics updated on different days. I just wanted a simple way to see what comics were being updated today, and when the last time was I went and read that comic.
2. How do I sign up?
Go to the nifty automated account creation page or you can go to the login page and log in using the guest account to poke around and see the personal tracker.
3. How can I add a comic? I made a mistake; how can I correct a comic? How can I delete a comic?
As much as I would love to be able to let the database be totally self policed with everybody having access to add/edit/del comics, that just really isn't a good idea. As such, the tracking system has several permissions that can be set (everybody can add comics from the start). Here's a breakdown of the permissions:
Add Comics
Edit Comics
Delete Comics
Add an update schedule
Edit an update schedule
Add a style
Edit a style
Post a news comment
Change permissions
For questions relating to how you have your access leel raised, see the next question.
4. How can I get more access to the system?
The easiest way to get more access to the system is to simply ask. Just don't be offended if I don't give you access to delete comics. I'm not trying to be stingy, I just don't want somebody to ruin things for everybody. You can contact the people who can change the access level by using the message form
5. Who are the admins, anyway?
uh, well, that would be me, Foxworth. As of right now, I'm the only person who has the level 5 access to change other users' levels.

If you want to talk to me, I have a number of contact methods, and rather then reprint all the methods, I'll just link my contact page here.
6. Why are there chocolate, chocolate chip muffins all over the place?
You would have to ask Mr. Okane about that.
7. Your interface sucks!
That's more of a comment then a question. If you don't like the interface, make your own tracking system! I'm not much for graphical design/layout so you'll have to live with this.
8. What is this site for?
Well, this was touched on in Q1, but the pupose of this script is to help people organize the comics that they read on a regular basis. The user sets up a list of comics that they read on a regular basis, then they can stick a link to that in their bookmarks. From there, the database keeps track of when the comic is updated, and when the last time was that the user went and read the comic.
9. Are you tracking the comics we read for marketing purposes?
Mark? Eating? What is this? No. This was never the goal of this system. The most the script does at this point is list the number of people reading each comic. So if I were doing this for marketing purposes, wouldn't I charge for that information?

Oh, and the main index script makes a log of referral information, that's about it.
10. Why do you want our e-mail addresses?
It's only used in the messager script (at this point in time) when the script sends me the message (that way I have a way to respond to somebody). If you really don't want to use your real e-mail, please use 'me@my.com'. Who knows, if a comic strip artists comes to me and says 'hey, I want to send a message to all the people using your system that read my comic' it would be kinda hard to send you a message w/o the e-mail.
